The Northwest Family Branch in Austin, TX is seeking Youth Sports Officials to join our team. We are looking for applicants who are available to work a flexible schedule Saturdays, 8:00am-2:00pm                                                                                                

PAY RATE: $9.50-$10.00 per hour, depending on experience

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Sports Director, the Youth Sports Official is responsible for enforcing the rules, ensuring games start on time, and providing a safe and positive environment for participants.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Preferred knowledge of basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, and soccer
  • Reliable transportation to attend work
  • Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Interested in contributing to the mission of the YMCA
  • Ability to solve conflicts or issues that may arise
  • Must possess maturity/sound judgment and strong sense of responsibility
  • Must be able to set up/take down equipment
