The YMCA of Austin is seeking Project SAFE Staff for our East Communities, TownLake, Southwest, Northwest, and North Austin branches.

We are looking for applicants who are available to work a varied schedule Monday through Thursday 8:30am to 12:00pm. (8 to 18 hours per week). Bilengual in Spanish and English preferred.

Pay rate:
$10.50/hour, depending on experience

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Project SAFE Staff is responsible for teaching CATCH curriculum (physical education) to Pre-K and First graders as part of the YMCA’s signature program; Project SAFE (Safety, Aquatics, Fitness, Education).

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Child care experience
  • Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Reliable transportation to attend work
  • Applicants must be interested in contributing to our mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
